DATA SHEET

GPR30 Primary Antibody of 50 µg . For sale In the US only.

Important Note: During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. We recommend briefly centrifuging the vial to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap prior to opening.

Warning: This reagent may contain sodium azide. The chemical, physical, and toxicological properties of this material have not been thoroughly investigated. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed. Avoid skin and eye contact, inhalation, and ingestion. Sodium azide forms hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions and may react with lead or copper plumbing to form highly explosive metal azides. On disposal, flush with large volumes of water to prevent accumulation.

Description/BackgroundG-protein coupled estrogen receptor 1 (GPER1) promotes neuritogenesis in developing hippocampal neurons. It plays a role in acute neuroprotection against NMDA-induced excitotoxic neuronal death and increases firing activity and intracellular calcium oscillations in luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) neurons. GPER1 inhibits mature adipocyte differentiation and lipid accumulation, and is involved in the recruitment of beta-arrestin 2 ARRB2 at the plasma membrane in epithelial cells. It also functions as a receptor for aldosterone, mediating rapid regulation of vascular contractibility through the PI3K/ERK signaling pathway. Finally, it is implicated in cancer progression.
Storage TemperatureAliquot and store undiluted at -20°C or below for up to 1 year. Can be stored undiluted at 4°C for up to 1 month. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
