Important Note: During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. We recommend briefly centrifuging the vial to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap prior to opening.

Warning: This reagent may contain sodium azide. The chemical, physical, and toxicological properties of this material have not been thoroughly investigated. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed. Avoid skin and eye contact, inhalation, and ingestion. Sodium azide forms hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions and may react with lead or copper plumbing to form highly explosive metal azides. On disposal, flush with large volumes of water to prevent accumulation.

Description/BackgroundXPR1 is a receptor involved in G-protein coupled signal transduction that functions in inorganic phosphate efflux, bone resorption and intestinal and renal absorption. It may be the primary effector of phosphate export in human cells. It also binds xenotropic and polytropic murine leukemia retroviruses. In immunohistochemistry, XPR1 has membranous and cytoplasmic positivity in all tissues throughout the body.
Storage TemperatureAliquot and store undiluted at -20°C or below for up to 1 year. Can be stored undiluted at 4°C for up to 1 month. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
ProtocolsICC, IHC, IHC-Paraffin
SpecificityHuman XPR1. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins.
