GLP2R Antibody (N-Terminus) (US Only)
GLP2R Primary Antibody of 50 µg. For sale In the US only.
Important Note: During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. We recommend briefly centrifuging the vial to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap prior to opening.
Warning: This reagent may contain sodium azide. The chemical, physical, and toxicological properties of this material have not been thoroughly investigated. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed. Avoid skin and eye contact, inhalation, and ingestion. Sodium azide forms hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions and may react with lead or copper plumbing to form highly explosive metal azides. On disposal, flush with large volumes of water to prevent accumulation.

Description/Background | Glucagon-like peptide 2 receptor (GLP2R) is closely related to the Glucagon Receptor and to the GLP1 Receptor. The glucagon-like peptides (GLP-1 and GLP-2) are proglucagon-derived peptides cosecreted from gut endocrine cells in response to nutrient ingestion. GLP2R is mediated by the GLP-2 receptor expressed on subsets of enteric nerves and enteroendocrine cells in the stomach and small and large intestine. Activation of GLP2R signaling promotes expansion of the mucosal epithelium indirectly via activation of growth and anti-apoptotic pathways. GLP2R, through its ligand glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP2), has been shown to prevent intestinal hypoplasia resulting from total parenteral nutrition. |
